My name is Gabriella van Rij, I am a Dutch National living in Vancouver, BC, a beautifully breathtaking City. It is no wonder it has been chosen many times the number ONE place in the world to live.
I am a volunteer for the Olympics and I support wholeheartedly the athletes and all the countries and everything it entails.
I am a very big admirer of anyone who has the guts to see their dreams come true, to work so hard at seeing a person “shine for one moment in time”. Hours of hard work and sweat….
I decided to keep a blog to promote for one; the business that I work with in Vancouver and two; to update what the volunteers are doing. For friends and family abroad this is the easiest way for me to keep everyone informed… I will do my best to keep talking and writing in English…

I thank you for your comment that is a bit amazing but I smiled with all my teeth as I do feel full of Volunteer Spirit and I am absolutely ready to be part of the world and to participate in something big like the Olympics. The spirit is the sport, the honour, the competition… Hard core dedication and discipline is necessary to make it…
